Affinity 緣 Yuan. Affinities are favorable or unfavorable relationships with others.


Affliction 煩惱 Fannao. Condition or cause of pain, distress, and suffering, which disturbs the body and mind. They can be thoughts of gain or loss, of wanting to control others, of criticism or slander. They might be worries, doubts, regrets, etc.


Alaya Consciousness 阿賴耶識 Alaiye Shi. Our karma repository, like an immense database of all of our past and present lives, good and bad. It is the Alaya which moves from one body to another upon death and birth.
